Course Level 1

Mohamed wakes up early in the morning. He sees the sun shining through his window. He gets out of bed and walks to the bathroom. He brushes his teeth carefully. His teeth look clean and white. Then, he puts on his clothes. His shirt is blue, his pants are brown, and his shoes are yellow. He goes downstairs to the kitchen. He gets a bowl and pours cereal and milk. He eats quietly. After breakfast, he picks up the newspaper and starts reading it on the couch.

Adam walks into his new classroom. He sees an empty chair in the front row and sits down. He looks around. There are many new faces. He smiles and says “hi” to the girl sitting next to him. Her name is Malak. She smiles back. Soon, the teacher enters the room and closes the door. The classroom becomes quiet. Everyone is ready. The first day of school is about to begin.

Nour feels thirsty. She goes to the kitchen and gets a glass of water. As she walks back, she drops the glass by accident. Water spills all over the floor. There is a big puddle. Nour gets a mop and starts cleaning. She wipes the water off the floor until it’s clean. Then, she gets another glass of water. She drinks slowly and feels refreshed. Now, she is smiling again.

Dina wants to buy a new phone, but she needs money. She decides to babysit for a neighbor. The little boy is playful. Dina gives him lunch and tells him a funny story. The boy laughs loudly. Dina enjoys spending time with him. Later, his mother comes home. The boy hugs and kisses Dina before she leaves. Dina feels happy. She will babysit him again next week.

Sam is a kind doctor. Every day, he helps people feel better. He smiles at his patients and gives them the right medicine. He also gives stickers to the young children. They laugh and feel happy. His patients trust him and visit him when they feel sick. Sam enjoys his job. At the end of the day, he walks home feeling proud.

Malak and Nour are twin sisters. They look the same, but they are very different. Malak loves sports. She plays basketball and golf. She is always loud and full of energy. Nour likes to read books. She is quiet and reads over 300 pages a day. Even though they are not alike, they care for each other deeply and love spending time together.

Nour wants to read a new book. She goes to the library near her house. She uses her card and checks out a book from the front desk. At home, she sits on the couch and starts reading. The first pages are very interesting. She continues reading 20 more pages. After that, she gets bored. She decides to return the book the next day.

Dina plans a picnic at the park. She packs a basket with healthy and tasty sandwiches. She drives to the park and spreads a blanket on the grass. Just as she is about to eat, she hears thunder. It starts to rain. She quickly folds the blanket and puts everything back into the basket. She smiles and says, “Maybe another day.”

Malak goes to a big supermarket. She walks to the bakery section. She sees a carrot cake but doesn't want it because she doesn’t like carrots. Then, she sees a banana nut muffin. It looks delicious. It costs only two dollars. She buys it, removes the wrapper, and takes a big bite. The muffin is crunchy outside and soft inside. She enjoys it a lot.

Wadi loves spending time at the park. First, he looks up at the sky. One cloud looks like a cat, and another looks like a dragon. Later, he feeds some ducks in the pond. They eat the bread crumbs he throws. At the end of the day, Wadi sits on a bench and watches the sunset. The sky turns orange and red. It’s a beautiful moment.
